Selling Up Quickly

Once I was made redundant from my job at Megabank recently I knew I would have to sell my house quickly. This was less to do with the kind of financial pressures that many of my colleagues were facing, I was lucky enough to have enough savings to cover my mortgage for a decent while, but more to do with my desire to leave the country and do some travelling.

Wanting to sell my house quickly and move away was basically down to having left university at 21 and gone straight in to a job. Now I was about to finish my mid-20s and I found that all I had seen was my parent's town where I grew up and went to school, and Loughborough where I went to university. Admittedly living in London all this time had been fun, but another reason I wanted to sell my house quickly was the noise of the place, which is non-stop and can be very oppressive in the summer time.

A few months on and I am ready to embark upon my big adventure. Due to its excellent location 100 yards away from Clapham South tube station I was able to sell my house quickly without too much bother. This has left me with no financial burden to worry about while I'm away and in fact I pocketed a tidy profit from the sale, as even in a depressed market people will pay a lot for a stylish pad in the right part of town.
